After the success of tween sessions, and meeting so many home educated amazing children, Stirchley Sewing school is now offering a weekly sewing class on a half term basis.
Dates for half term 2:

The class will start at 10.00am and finish at 11.30am - each session is 90 minutes long.
All classes will be held at:
Stirchley Sewing School, 1387 Pershore Road, B30 2JR
This group is aimed at age 7-12, and will work through learning how to read and cut patterns, as well as constructing a couple of simple garments. These will be a pair of trousers/shorts and a sweatshirt.
This class is aimed at home schoolers who have either attended the Beginners class at Stirchley Sewing school, or similar elsewhere.
We will focus on:
- how to measure what size pattern to cut
- basic pattern terminology
- how to cut out a pattern and then cut it out in fabric
- garment construction
The group will be taught by owner, Charlotte, who has previously worked as a teacher and lecturer in both mainstream and SEN environments. She holds a fully enhanced DBS and has experience working with a variety of diagnosis’ in children.
Parents are welcome to stay until they feel comfortable their child is settled.
Each week the class will be 90 minutes long. This allows time for breaks/snacks and to ensure tweens can work at their own pace.
CLASS PRICE WILL INCLUDE PRINTED PATTERNS FOR YOUR TWEEN, AS WELL AS A SPARE PDF COPY TO PRINT. FABRIC WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED AND INFORMATION WILL BE SENT OUT AFTER BOOKING.
