Stirchley Sewing School & creative studio is founded by Charlotte Stacey, an experienced fashion and textiles lecturer, sewing tutor and independent dressmaker.

Having taught classes and courses ranging in different levels and abilities at many different locations in Birmingham, Charlotte decided it was time to use her years of teaching experience to form her own studio for others to learn in.

A variety of sewing classes aimed at different levels (Absolute Beginners, Confident Beginners and Intermediate Sewers are available now) will ensure that everyone can find one suited to their own ability.

In 2026, Stirchley Sewing School has grown into ‘Stirchley Sewing School and creative studio’ a space that will not only offer sewing classes, but a whole range of creative workshops too.

There will be adult arts & crafts, toddler sessions, mom-and-baby art club, kids after school and holiday clubs
